Welcome to L'Anse Creuse High School Band Community!

Our annual Icebreaker event is held on a Saturday morning in May.  At the event you'll get introduced to parent volunteers who work with your kids at band camp, fitting uniforms, chaperroning trips, and the HS Band Leadership staff.  You'll have an opportunity to ask questions, learn about costs/payment, and which smartphone apps you and your kids need to stay updated throughout the summer. This event is mandatory for students, optional for parents, totally fun, and a great way to get some basic questions answered as you start your HS band Journey.  

Marching season kicks off each year in the spring and will require your student to participate throughout the summer as we lead up to Pre-Camp and Band Camp in August.  Summer commitment is 2 practices and one sectional weekly.  In August, there is one week of Pre-Camp and one week of Band Camp.  After returning from camp, the HS football season starts and weekly commitment adds in Friday night home games, along with 2 practices and 1 sectional.   Saturday Invitationals begin in the end of September and the six-weeks from mid September to the first weekend of November often require 4-5 days of band commitment.  

The most effective way to pay for band related expenses is to get involved with our Charity Bingo program.  As a volunteer worker, you help raise money for our general fund and earn money for your student's account which can be used to pay for Band Camp, Trips, and other expenses.  Work 3 nights a month starting in the spring and you can pay for band camp completely!  LEARN MORE HERE
